EGGstravaganza Spring Festival

Youth Theatre fundraisers
Classic Youth Theatre is holding a fundraiser to support its upcoming production of “Abie’s Irish Rose” at the end of March at the Olivenhain meeting hall. To help raise funds for the tuition free children’s theater, the group will be celebrating an “Irish Night at the E-Street Café” in Encinitas. Tickets are $40 and you will enjoy a hosted bar, Irish fare buffet and live music by
Fiffin Market and Brian Caldwell of The Clachan Boys www.clachanboys.com. The children will also be doing an excerpt from the play. Also,  Detour Salon in Encinitas and celebrity hair artist William Williams will offer haircuts for a suggested donation of $50 on March 18t from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Spring Renewal Poetry Party
 The Solana Beach Art Association presents
the premier Spring Renewal Poetry Party and Reading — a coming together of community poets of all ages. In conjunction with the event, the art work of several local fine artists from the
Solana Beach Art Association will be exhibited.

Consort marks Women’s History Month
Visual artist Nori Green joins the Hutchins Consort to unveil a new portrait of Carleen Hutchins, the namesake of the Hutchins Consort. The consort performs on an octet of harmonically matched and scaled string instruments designed and crafted by Hutchins, an American luthier and acoustician.

Garden Festival
The Encinitas Garden Festival is an all-day celebration of community, gardening, and the horticultural heritage of Encinitas. Tour participants board double-decker buses for a ride to the Gardeners’ Marketplace in Cardiff-by-the-Sea. From there, participants will ride the buses into the Cardiff neighborhood to begin a self-guided walking tour that features more than 20 gardens of every size and style.
